Some of the most recognizable people at Camp Starlight are our Athletic Directors and Program Heads. We’re thankful at Camp Starlight that many of our program heads spend several summers with us. Their continued efforts in getting to know the campers and understand how best to utilize their strengths and improve skills are the reason Camp Starlight athletics has become so successful both within the Camp Starlight league program and the Wayne County Camp Association leagues.
As a team, they work together during the day to help the camp program run smoothly. In the evening, many of them don different hats during the evening 
activities as judges, entertainers, facilitators, or all of the above! However, what brings it all together best is how they interact with their individual staffs. Each Program Head is charged with managing several specialists who assist them with instruction and coaching. Effective motivational guidance is a key quality that Program Heads must possess and we are proud that they are consistently able to transform their efforts into successful inter and intra league records.
More important than impressive records, though, our Program Heads and Athletic Directors, whether in their first season or their sixth, never fail to impress us with their ability to embrace the Camp Starlight spirit and emphasize competitive but friendly fun when it comes to instructing our athletes and managing their specialists. This is, no doubt, a big part of why so many of our Program Heads are so beloved by the campers.
