A lot of Camp Starlight campers have discovered a passion on the lacrosse field here at camp that they’ve pursued into high school and even college athletics. So it’s probably no surprise to many the first half of the summer was a banner year for Camp Starlight lacrosse that has, so far, continued. In fact, our lacrosse teams have conceded only one game so far this season. With a record like that, it’s hard to believe that for many years, lacrosse was primarily a boys only sport here at camp. However, from their first exhibition game a few years ago and into their Wayne County league play now, the girls have given the boys a run for their money as equally competitive teams. This year, both our Lower and Upper Camp girls’ lacrosse teams are undefeated thus far in the season. The Upper Camp boys’ teams are also undefeated going into the latter half of the summer. We wish all of our teams luck as they continue their Wayne County league play!
